Why did we start our coral restoration program?

Restore corals damaged by severe storms like Tropical Cyclone Yasa in Dec 2020
Increase climate resilience of the coral reefs by selecting temperature resistant corals
Involve local people in conservation & protection of their reefs

Before TC Yasa

What are we doing?

In 2021 we have installed several coral 'rope' nurseries throughout Natewa Bay using fragments broken during TC Yasa

How can you get involved?

Join one of our new coral conservation experiences. Learn about the basic biology of corals and their importance, visit a coral nursery, and 'get your hands dirty' helping us maintain the nurseries

Return transfers from Savusavu are not included, but can be arranged (extra cost)

Please note: We will endeavor to cancel trips only in exceptional

circumstances, but reserve the right to reluctantly cancel when weather and ocean conditions would compromise either safety or guest experience.

Hands-On Coral Conservation Experience

Includes:

Half-day trip including scenic boat ride on our spacious dive boat (full sun canopy and sturdy diver's ladder)
Full briefing on coral restoration activities
Knowledgeable guide in water at all times
All necessary equipment & snorkel gear (if required)
Recommended ages 15+ and confident in-water
